Gutenberg's printing press was copied in countries all over Europe and eventually the world. It meant that people had much easier access to books. New ideas could be spread very quickly, and they didn't have to wait years for someone to hand write them. New medical ideas such as the discoveries of Andreas Vesalius and William Harvey could be read by doctors themselves instead of having someone read them out.
Eventually, newspapers would be printed daily so that news could be spread. More people could learn to read because there were the books to teach them. These were big changes.
